Inner-Mind Mandala
Our teacher instructed us to grab crayons, colored pencils, markers, whatever and list the topics that most occupy our minds. I definitely felt some inner resistence because I certainly wasn't stoked to share my fears and worries with squares of strangers. BUT I pressed forward and, luckily, "step 2" was to rip up the paper. We then reconstructed those paper scraps into a mandala. It was a cool way to re-see what is bouncing around my mind on the regular. As we reflected separately on our mandalas, I journaled a bit and wrote a quick poem. Looking at it now I can see that my fear of sharing my inner-thoughts restrained me a bit, and I wonder what I would have come up with if I wasn't so worried about others' perceptions. But this is still definitely me.
